SST
Digital Signal Processors

Utilizing the HardSIL™ technology from SST, commercial Digital Signal Processors (DSPs) from Texas Instruments have been converted to higher performance hardened devices.

Existing DSPs produced by Texas Instruments have been manufactured, without redesign, to improve:
  • Total Ionizing Dose
  • SEL Immunity
  • Single Event Effects
HardSIL™ allows systems designers to use existing TI commercial DSP components for signal development in new platforms. For system products that will operate in harsh environments, the most susceptible components can be swapped with HardSIL™ components with no adverse effects to the electrical performance. HardSIL™ components have the same electrical performance, power, package size, and pinout configuration as the commercial version.

SST is partnering with Texas Instruments in developing hardened versions of TI catalog parts, current examples are:
  • TMS320C6701
  • TMS320VC33
  • TMS320C6727B
